1. If you could describe your job to a 5 year old, how would you describe it?

I get to work with the smartest and most creative people in the world to make things better for everyone.

2. What advice can you give future women that are trying to get into advertising/marketing?

I have so much to say on this subject. I would tell them to be unapologetically themselves. Please do not compromise who you are to fit in, you are a badass! Finally, when you get there - look around and notice who is not in the room with you and make space and invite them in.

3. If you can thank someone that helped get you to where you are now, who would you thank and what would you say?

I would thank Bruce Skillings, former EVP of Bernard Hodes Advertising, Omnicom.

In 1995, he plucked me right out of my Recruitment Advertising Account Exec role at the San Jose Mercury News and offered me a position as employee #3 in a start-up in Silicon Valley called CareerMosaic.

I would say to him: Thank you for your relentless support and generous nature. Thank you for taking a risk on that young, loud, brash, at times inappropriate girl. Thank you for teaching her to direct all of her energy to becoming a  bold, fearless, provocative, (and I'd like to think) relentlessly supportive and generous leader she has become today.
