David Kissell

Chief Operating Officer

David Kissell

1. If you could describe your job to a 5 year old, how would you describe it?

I help people and companies to be “better”.

I start by trying to help people grow personally and professionally so they work smarter, think harder, be the best that they can be and always try their hardest.

When I am able to do this and then build teams with those people, and those teams then also work smarter, think harder, be the best that they can be, and try their hardest……….We are then able to help companies be “better”.

2. What advice would you give your younger self starting out in advertising, what would you say to him?

- Listen!

- See the world from your client’s eyes not yours, and ensure they understand it’s not about you, it’s about them. Immerse yourself in their pain points, their goals, and their vision. Nurture that kind of connection with them and you will build a relationship of trust and integrity that will flourish.

- Your accomplishments and your value will be recognized. Don’t focus or concern yourself with being recognized or gaining recognition, it will come. Focus always on bringing the next “great thing” to life.

3. If you could thank someone that helped get you to where you are now, who would you thank and what would you say?

I would first say to each of them “I love you”, “thank you” and “I am eternally grateful”.

In my career there were three very strong individuals, who put their arm around me, gave of themselves for me, supported me, and helped me emerge. They are, Jordan Zimmerman, Zev Auerbach, and Gary Blasiar.

I am thankful that I’ve been able to say those things to each of them (Zev, before he passed away) and believe each knows my feelings, my gratitude and the difference they made in my life. I would tell all to make the time to do the same.
